8 Food Secrets That Will Help You Lose Weight Faster


In order to lose weight and keep it off in the future, we are often forced to give up our favorite foods, cut our portion sizes, and even starve from time to time. This doesn’t sound too motivating. But there’s a bright side to this.

8. Sorbets instead of ice cream

The beloved cream-based dessert is, in fact, very high in fat. Sorbets and fruit ice pops are a little different from normal ice cream, but they taste just as good. They also contain much less fat and calories.

7. Gingerbread instead of chocolate

Unfortunately, milk chocolate is among the worst foods for your figure. That’s why, if you are craving something sweet, you should go for gingerbread, which is actually very healthy.

6. Tuna in its own juice instead of in oil

Tuna is an incredibly healthy fish, and its protein content is about that of caviar. In order for protein to digest better, you should choose canned tuna in its own juice. This contains much less fat and many more vitamins (A, B12, D, E), amino acids, and healthy substances (iodine, potassium, iron, phosphorus).

Sounds crazy, right? But it’s better to have a little bit of plain or salty popcorn than trail mix as it is normally fried with oil.

Whenever you want to snack, your hand usually reaches for something sweet. The main trick is to hold yourself back in time. Cookies are simply extra sugar that your body does not need. If you choose fruit instead, you receive the necessary handful of vitamins and nutrients.

Homemade oatmeal with fruits and nuts is a much healthier option than muesli you get at a supermarket. The latter contains flavor enhancers and sugar to make consumption more attractive. Because of these additives, they are very high in calories, unlike simple oats.

2. Frozen potatoes instead of fresh potatoes

Both kinds of potato are nearly identical in their contents. The only difference is that if you go for frozen potatoes, you will feel full for longer afterward. This occurs because frozen potatoes contain a healthier kind of starch.

This one should be obvious. Homemade vegetable chips are far healthier than store-bought potato chips, as vegetables contain vitamins required by our bodies.
